Supersize! Return to splendor with rock'n'roll inferno...

Supersize!

The types of thrills and spills you fans want to see and hear...
Return to splendor with rock'n'roll inferno!

Billy Idol is cool.

Angela is here! She finally made it in one piece. We got her settled in and comfy on Friday night and by Saturday morning she was all set. It's been awesome having her around to say the least. On Saturday we went and washed our cars together and went shopping. Sunday we went and saw X-Men III which was okay for explosions and effects but the story was weak. It's been completely awesome having Angela around.

Oh also on Sunday I started having problems with my car. I was driving it when all of the sudden the engine got really sluggish and my MIL (malfunction indicator lamp) light came on and was blinking. I checked my owners manual and it stated that it was probably the catalytic converter which pissed me off. My car isn't under warranty any more because it's been more than 4 years. However my car only has 33k miles on it. I called a muffler place and they told me there was a federal warranty on catalytic converters for 8 years or 80k miles which made me happy. Unfortunately for me I had to take my car to a Audi dealership. They did a diagnostic on the car and found that it wasn't the catalytic convertor but the ignition coils. I almost started to freak out because since it was the coils and not the converter it meant that I was going to have to pay to get my car fixed. With the diagnostic, parts and labor I figured I'd be paying upwards around $500.00. Luckily for me there was a recall on the ignition coils on the 2002 Audi A4's which meant I was able to get everything fixed for free. Happy day.

Speaking of good news I was finally able to qualify for a Gap Credit Card! FINALLY my credit is repairing itself. I have been turned down 4 times in the last two and a half years since my bankruptcy and it has been nothing but frustration. Plus my attorney said right after I was done declaring bankruptcy to go get a Gap card because they are the easiest place to get credit. Not for me apparently. Still to this day my self-destructive behaviour is haunting me but thankfully there are signs that enough time has gone by where I can wash those stains away.

Anyways, I have to cut this short because I'm at work but I've been keeping a notebook with little entries in my car and stuff that I will try to start posting Day in the Life entries.

It's all happening so fast...

Don't know how to react...

It's been a while since I have written in my blog and a lot has happened. Where to start?

I went to Vegas over Memorial Day weekend and got to spend an extra day with Angela which was great! We went shopping together which was really fun. Angela and I each got a new watch from the Fossil outlet store. They have such awesome watches there for so cheap! I got some new summer clothes and some flip-flops. I really need to get some sun on my white legs and feet :) We went and saw The Davinci Code which was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. I still think that Tom Hanks wasn't cast right for Robert Langdon. I've read the book and it was a great book but in my mind I always pictured Robert Langdon as a late eighties Harrison Ford or an early eighties Robert Redford. That's just me though. Oh, we also watched The Butterfly Effect movie which tripped me out. It was a great movie but it gave me weird vibes. So I went ahead and ordered it so I can watch it over and over again :) We had a lot of fun and all in all it was a great weekend. I was extremely sad to leave, however I will see her again real soon!

Because....

She is going to be moving up here to Utah for a while which is going to be great. She had quite a rough week last week with moving all of her things out of her apartment and her car breaking down and it made me feel bad that I couldn't be there for her except over the phone. However, Angela is a strong person and she was able to get through all of the road blocks that were presented before her. The worst of them all was Starving Students Movers. Those bastards! I scheduled an appointment to have them arrive at Angela's place on Friday between 8:00AM and 10:00PM. By 2:00PM they still hadn't arrived and Angela was starting to freak out. They finally called and said they would be there in an hour and that they were going to charge us $95.00 for them to drive from their office to her place. I Google Mapped the distance and found out that it was 10.2 miles! Those bastards were going to try and charge us almost a hundred bucks to drive 10 to 15 minutes? I don't think so. When their corporate office called me and I started to explain the situation in pissed off tones the corporate guy hung up on me! I wasn't swearing or anything but I was conveying my frustrations to him. I guess that is how they do business. So if anyone has thoughts of using Starving Students Movers DON'T! They suck ass! Anyways, I'm so excited to have Angela come up here.

Now that I have more money coming in I've been able to start buying the things that I used to that I enjoyed so much. For example: Music CD's, books and old videogames. Basically I love to buy things off of eBay and Half.com. Not really expensive things but small things that I love to collect. I bought a new CD last week, two books and one of the greatest video games ever (besides Tetris): Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo for the original Playstation. I've been trying to get an original copy of that game forever. It's somewhat of a collectors item and people have been eBaying it for anywhere from $50 to over $100! I lucked out and someone put a copy on Half.com for $14! WHOOOO!! Yay for me. I always thought I was going to have to fork out a ton of money for that one. I'm a sucker for puzzle games. So it was nice to get a few things that I've been wanting to get.

Anyways, I'll try not to go so long without posting.
